06/10/2026 – Feeling This

‘Where do we go from here?
Turn all the lights down now
Smiling from ear to ear (I’m feelin’ this!)
Our breathing’s got too loud (I’m feelin’ this!)
Show me the bedroom floor (I’m feelin’ this!)
Show me the bathroom mirror (I’m feelin’ this!)
We’re taking this way too slow (I’m feelin’ this!)
Take me away from here (I’m feelin’ this!)

Fate fell short this time
Your smile fades in the summer
Place your hand in mine
I’ll leave when I wanna’

Why did he feel like coming home? The question repeated in her mind as her back pressed against the door. One of his hands on the nape of her neck, the other resting on her waist. Home wasn’t supposed to be a person, it was supposed to be walls and routines, places you came to at the end of the day to rest. She had never rested at her physical home though. That feeling only came when he was around.

Her hands tugged at his shirt, she wanted it off, she wanted her skin against his.

Home wasn’t supposed to be a person, her mind repeated. Home wasn’t supposed to be the man standing in front of her, looking at her the way he currently was as he pulled his shirt off over his head. His chest bare, he smiled down at her again. She smiled in return, neither of them moving.

The kiss had ended, but only technically. She could still feel his breath against her lips. Still feel the way his hand rested against her waist like he wasn’t entirely convinced she was real.

“You came.” He said.

Of all the things he could have said, that was what broke her. Not I missed you. Not I’ve been thinking about you. Just two simple words. You came. A shaky laugh escaped her before she could stop it. She could have let her inner thoughts come out, to voice the uncertainty that lingered in her mind. She always worried this meant more to her than it ever would to him.

“Not yet.” She said, her voice low as she stepped forward to wrap her arms around his neck. A small smirk spreads across her lips, a small giggle escaping her before he grabs her by her waist and pulls her against him, his mouth meeting hers again.
Her mind momentarily drifted towards the years of conversations they never had. All the versions of them that had existed between the last time they were here and now. She pulled back, looking at the floor because if she looked at him again, she’d give in to the desire that was pulsing through her. God, she was already so wet and she was still fully dressed.

She was afraid to look up at him again, to let her eyes meet his again. Because she knew if she looked at him too long she was going to do something stupid. Like tell him she never stopped loving him. Like admit she’d read old messages she should have deleted years ago. Like confess that every relationship afterward had been measured, unfairly and quietly, against a man she never truly got over.

“You look exactly the same when you’re nervous.”

Her head snapped up.

“What?”

A real smile spread across his face as they made eye contact again, warmth spreading over her again. His words had been quiet, careful. Like he was scared of freaking her out or if he was wanting to take the conversation down a more serious path. Her throat tightened.

“Come, stay a while?” He asked. She wanted him to throw her on the bed. To take all of her the way he did back then before talking to her about all the thoughts in her mind. But she knew exactly what he meant. Not sit with me. Not tell me who you’ve become, tell me what I missed, tell me if there’s still something here worth saving. And God help her, she’d driven all this way because she wanted the answer to be yes. Just ‘stay a while.’

Instead of voicing any of her thoughts though, she slipped her own shirt off over her head. Smirking at him before unbuttoning her pants and wiggling out of them. He was smirking now, following her lead. Once they were both in their underwear they admired each other appreciatively. Then without warning her grabbed her by her waist and forced her to turn before pushing her backwards into the bed. She giggled, scooting back into the bed so he could follow. He slowly kissed his way up her legs to her thighs. Her breathing has become fast and shallow. He pulled her panties down just enough so his tongue could flick across her clit. Her body responded instantly with an arced back and a moan she couldn’t hold back.

Somewhere between the way his hands anchored her against the mattress and the attention he gave her, she lost track of everything except him. Her panties disappeared completely at some point, but she barely noticed. Every slow, deliberate touch unraveled another thread of restraint until all that remained was the desperate, breathless sound of his name on her lips.

He didn’t rush her. Even now, after all these years, he seemed to remember exactly how to undo her. The tension that had been building since she’d stepped through his front door tightened impossibly before finally breaking apart beneath his careful devotion. Her body arched instinctively, fingers tangling in his hair as pleasure washed through her in relentless waves.

Only when she began to come back to herself did he lift his head. His expression held the same tenderness she’d seen in him all evening, softened further by something dangerously close to awe.

Before she could find the words to tease him or hide behind a joke, he leaned over her, one hand cupping her cheek as his mouth found hers again. His mouth removing the rush of embarrassment she felt at her sudden rush of release she hadn’t expected. He always knew how to make the pleasure crest so strong.

Eventually, he eased back onto the mattress, laying on his side and drawing her with him until her back rested against his chest. She fit against him effortlessly, as though her body still remembered the shape of his after all this time. His lips brushed across her shoulder in a trail of lingering kisses, each one soft enough to make her shiver.

She hadn’t even realized he’d gotten rid of the last barrier between them until she felt him pressed against her. Moving against her lips that were already wet and ready for now. Her breath caught as instinct took over, her hips shifting back against him. The movement drew a quiet sound from both of them as they gave in to the familiarity of each other.
When he finally slid into her, her eyes squeezed shut, a soft moan escaping her lips.

How could something feel so right if it was wrong?

Pleasure coursed through her, sharp enough to steal the air from her lungs. She trembled against him as he wrapped an arm around her waist, holding her close.

“Just a few more times, baby,” he murmured against her ear, his voice soft and reassuring.

Her body responded instantly, moving with his as they found a rhythm that felt achingly familiar, as though the years between them had never existed at all. She knew what was going to come next. Her body aches with anticipation and want, even as she feels shutters of pleasure ripple over her. Part of her wants to fight against the orgasm she can already feel building up again. Instead she matched him thrust for thrust, letting the pleasure wash over her.

‘This place was never the same again after you
Came and went, how could you say you meant anything
Different to anyone standing alone on the
Street with a cigarette on the first night we met
Look to the past and remember and smile
And maybe tonight I can breathe for a while
I’m not in this scene, I think I’m falling asleep
But then all that it means is I’ll always be dreaming of you

Fate fell short this time
Your smile fades in the summer
Place your hand in mine
I’ll leave when I wanna’
